Holiday Events & Dining FAQs

What is the food and beverage minimum for holiday events?
Food and beverage minimums vary based on the date, time, and selected space. The food and beverage minimum reflects total food and beverage sales prior to gratuity, service charge, and tax. If your event total does not meet the minimum, the difference will be applied as a Room Rental fee.
The holidays are one of the busiest times on Fort Lauderdale Beach. We recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and space. Full venue buyouts and weekend evenings fill quickly, so early reservations are strongly encouraged.
All food and beverage prices are subject to a 20% service charge (6% banquet service charge and 14% staff gratuity) and a 7% sales tax applied to all food, beverage, and service charges. Any additional charges incurred during the event will be added to your final bill.
Holiday event menus must be finalized ten business days prior to the event date. If selections are not received by that time, our culinary team will design a Chef’s Choice seasonal menu based on your event type and guest count.
Absolutely. S3 is happy to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and preferences with advance notice. Please notify your Event Manager of any restrictions before finalizing your Event Order so we can prepare accordingly.

Yes. Each event space features a naturally stunning oceanfront backdrop that may be enhanced with tasteful décor, floral arrangements, or festive accents to fit your vision.

Event rooms are available one hour prior for setup; additional setup time can be arranged at $150 per hour. Please note that tape, staples, nails, glitter, confetti, and wax candles are not permitted. S3 is not responsible for items left after your event.

Valet parking is available and may be hosted by your group or paid individually by guests.

  • Daytime Valet: $6 per car (self) or $8 per car hosted
  • Evening Valet: $8 per car (self) or $10 per car hosted

Additional public parking options are available nearby, though rates may vary during the holiday season.

A guaranteed guest count must be submitted no later than three business days prior to your event. This number will be considered final for billing and preparation purposes. If no updated count is received, S3 will use the number provided on your signed contract.

All deposits are nonrefundable. If cancellation occurs within seven days of your scheduled event, 50% of the estimated food and beverage total (plus tax and gratuity) will be due. Cancellations made before the seven-day window will not incur additional fees.
Yes. S3 offers exclusive buyouts for up to 300 guests, allowing you to enjoy private use of the entire oceanfront venue. Buyouts include access to all indoor and outdoor spaces, customized menus, and dedicated event coordination for a one-of-a-kind seaside celebration.
Of course. In addition to private and semi-private events, S3 welcomes smaller holiday celebrations through standard reservations.
